Madeline’s love and interest in caring for animals began at a very early age. Her visits to our office with her loveable dog Licorice had her interested in joining our team. In 2004, she began volunteering as a kennel assistant, and in 2006 she was hired as a part time employee while she attended high school. Working in our hospital has allowed Madeline to confirm her passion lies in veterinary medicine. She loves learning about all it has to offer and thus can be found working in many positions around the hospital, but she is particularly keen about internal medicine and nursing, preventative care education, emergency/critical care, nutrition and exotic pets.
Now a university student studying sciences, Madeline intends to fulfill her lifelong plan by attending veterinary school. She keeps busy with an array of extracurricular activities and interests including volunteering, dancing, spending time outdoors, cooking/baking and catching up with friends. It shouldn’t go unmentioned that a good portion of Madeline’s time is also spent caring for her long pet list consisting of some unusual critters in addition to her two dogs – from birds to reptiles to pocket pets.
