Dr. Carolyn Buxton is the owner of South Burnaby Veterinary Hospital. It was her vision to create a clinic which provided caring, compassionate and high quality health care for pets and top quality service for clients.
Originally from Montreal, she now lives in Coquitlam with her husband Andy and two daughters Madeleine and Ella. She has two young dogs,”Stella” and “Chip”, and two cats “Tango” and “Nacho”. In her spare time she enjoys hiking and skiing with her family.
Dr. Buxton graduated from the Ontario Veterinary Hospital in Guelph, Ontario in 1994. She worked for two years in the lower mainland before purchasing her own clinic, South Burnaby Vet Hospital in January 1997. She enjoys her work enormously and is well loved by her clients and their pets!
She is passionate about animals and about medicine. Dr. Buxton is keen on practising the most up to date medicine and keeps her skills sharp by attending numerous Continuing Education seminars yearly. She also participates in the “Veterinary Information Network” which gives her and her staff access to veterinary specialists all over the world. Dr. Buxton’s main interests are surgery (both conventional and laser), dentistry and behaviour.
