Dr. Carmen Carter joined our team at the end of 2008. Her experience has been quite varied. After spending one year at the University of Melbourne in Australia, she finished her veterinary degree at the Atlantic Veterinary College in P.E.I. One of the most exciting aspects for us has been Dr. Carter’s training in Emergency Medicine. Her knowledge was gained during a one year rotating internship in San Diego, California. While there, she had an opportunity to work under the guidance of board certified criticalists, internists, surgeons, radiologists and dermatologists.
Back at her family home in Kelowna, Dr. Carter has a llama called Chicklit and a cat named Snowball. She is certainly glad to be back in British Columbia, particularly the lower mainland as one of her passions is snowboarding. Our mountains provide Dr. Carter with plenty to do in her spare time!
