Orthopedic surgery refers to bone surgery. Dr. Buxton performs the majority of our othopedic surgeries at South Burnaby Vet Hospital. She was trained by Board Certified Surgeon Dr. Anne Sylvester.
Occasionally we refer our patients to a speciality hospital called Canada West Veterinary Specialists, for certain complex surgeries.
SOME CONDITIONS WHICH REQUIRE ORTHOPEDIC SURGERY:
- Ruptured cranial cruciate ligament ( ACL)
- Patellar luxation
- Fractures
- Intervertebral disk disease
- Hip dysplasia
